Global Anticoccidial Drugs Market: By Animal Types

The Global Anticoccidial Drugs Market is expected to reach $2.433 million by the end of 2020 growing at a CAGR of around 3.9% from 2014 to 2020.

Coccidiosis as a disease is present in almost all types of animals ranging from poultry, ruminants to companion animals. In poultry and cattle markets the incidence of coccidiosis has cost millions of dollars in treatment and preventive care being given. Also the trend of owning companion animals is also contributing to the increasing use of anitcoccidials, as dogs, cats and occasionally even horses are prone to coccidiosis and if left untreated it could lead to the death of the animal.

The global market for anticoccidials is increasing as the need for more and more meat, milk and milk products are required to feed the ever growing population. These factors make the farm animal market account for nearly 80% of the anticoccidial market.

1. Swine

As per the research, North America is the fastest growing anticoccidials market in case of pigs. The disease is more common and widespread in small pigs but is seen occasionally in growing pigs and boars. Increase in the intake of meat and its products are the major factor augmenting the growth of this market.

2. Poultry

Coccidia disease infects almost every poultry house worldwide. The entire life cycle of avian coccidian requires 7 days for completion. Short life cycle and large number of sporulating ocyst of parasites help in increasing the chance of contamination to a large population. The growth rate of the market is slightly lower due to decline in the poultry market over the last 5 years due to increased incidences of avian flu and other communicable diseases that are easily spreading to human from infected birds. The main aim of the market players will be to bring the communicable diseases under control. After that there will a steady growth in the poultry market which will in turn augment the growth of drug market.

3. Ruminant

Coccidiosis is one of the major diseases affecting cows. It especially affects calf of the age of 6 months to 2 years. Asia Pacific region, especially India, has highest number of cattle and does not have strict regulations regarding the health of cattle. Hence the market is expected to grow at a faster rate in Asia Pacific region.

4. Aquaculture

Eimeria is the only organism that is extensively known for causing the disease in water bodies. It mostly affects carp and marine fish. It affects mainly the carp and marine fish. Only Amprolium is used for the treatment of the disease in fish. The intake of fish and other aquatic organisms is very prominent across the globe. This fact gives the new entrants a good reason to invest in the drugs for aquatic bodies.

Signs, Symptoms and Treatment of Iron-Deficiency Anaemia

Iron-deficiency is amongst the most common diseases that have been found in many human beings. The disease caused due to lack of iron is also known as ‘Anaemia’ in medical terms and is a common, easily curable condition that exists in a human being who does not have enough iron in his body. The low iron levels are due to blood loss, poor diet, or an inability to absorb enough iron from food. In other words, anaemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells in your blood is lesser than the normal range. The red blood cells carry oxygen and remove carbon dioxide from your body.

Signs and Symptoms

The signs and symptoms of such a disease depend on its severity. By the time the disease is mild to moderate, there are rarely any signs and symptoms. The signs and symptoms do occur, ranging from mild to severe. Many symptoms of iron-deficiency anaemia apply to all types of anaemia. The key signs and symptoms of iron deficiency include brittle nails, swelling and soreness of the tongue, cracks in the sides of the mouth and frequent infections. The people who are suffering from iron-deficiency anaemia may have an unusual craving for items like ice, dirt, paint or starch.

Treatment options

There are many people who are diagnosed with this disease and the treatment for this condition depends upon the individual and the severity of the symptoms. The goals of the treatment for iron-deficiency are to bring back the normal functioning levels of red blood cells, haemoglobin and iron. Here are listed some of the treatments for this disease. Let us have a look:

  • Dietary changes: Beginning with the easiest, the doctors recommend the simple changes to the diet of the patient. To build up the amount of iron in human’s body quickly, start eating red meat as it is high in iron. For the people who are vegetarian or vegan, there are many other options to have a look on. For instance peas, lentils, baked beans etc. Opt for the excellent sources of iron to increase the iron percentage in your body.
  • Iron supplements: In case of the moderate and severe stage of deficiency, only dietary changes do not work well and therefore for the sake of an individual’s proper treatment and to improve his health, iron supplements are recommended by the doctors in order to cure anaemia, preventing the worsening of such deficiency especially among women and athletes. When someone starts taking the iron supplements, it becomes crucial for them to get enough vitamin C on regular basis. Vitamin C is an essential requirement because it assists with iron absorption and can be found in oranges, kiwis, strawberries etc.
  • Blood transfusions- When the disease comes to a serious level, it becomes necessary to receive a transfusion of red blood cells. This is one of the common procedures that involve giving blood to a person via IV line through a blood vessel. This treatment is also used on the patients having a high risk of heart conditions that could be worsened due to iron deficiency anaemia.
  • Iron therapy- This treatment is also known as ‘iron infusion’, wherein the iron is injected into an IV line in a blood vessel or into a muscle. This option is considered only in the cases when the patient is unable to take iron supplements by mouth due to another medical condition.

Dosage and duration recommendations for men, women and children

  • The men ageing between 19-50 years should get eight milligrams of iron per day.
  • The women ageing between 19-50 years should get eighteen milligrams of iron per day.
  • From 51 years onwards, both men and women are recommended to get eight milligrams iron per day.
  • For kids (both genders) ageing below six months, are recommended to get 0.27 milligram, seven months to one year old should get 11 milligrams, 1-3 years old should get seven milligrams, 4-8 years old should get ten milligrams, 9-13 years old should get eight milligrams of iron per day.
  • While 14-18 years old males need eleven milligrams and females need fifteen milligrams of iron per day.

What Causes Multiple Sclerosis?

Those who have become victims of Multiple Sclerosis, either directly or through the suffering of a close friend or family member with the disease, can only wonder just how it could have happened. While the cure is unknown, and treatments are limited, there are some pieces of information out there that might prove to be useful to you.

To get a better understanding of what causes Multiple Sclerosis, it is important to comprehend just what the disease does. When a person has Multiple Sclerosis, they will experience degeneration of the nerves of the central nervous system. The nerves of the brain and spinal cord are inflamed with lesions, or plaques, and are stripped of myelin. Myelin is the sheath of fatty insulation that wraps around the axons of the neurons in the brain. It helps regulate the speed in which messages are sent from the brain to the body.

When the neurons lose their myelin sheath, the brain in no longer to communicate with the rest of the body as it should. So, when a disease such as Multiple Sclerosis occurs, any of the body’s functions can be affected. The patient may have trouble with their vision, their speech, their motor skills- no two cases are exactly alike, and they are as individual as the patient who has it. Some patients will experience episodes of weakness of the limbs and other symptoms, and then feel normal in between flare ups, while other patients will feel as though their motor skills steadily and gradually deteriorating.

Most people are diagnosed with MS as young adults. The condition is more common in females and Caucasians, though it is unclear why. A person is not born with Multiple Sclerosis, and it is not a genetic disease, though studies show that those with a family history of the disease may be more susceptible to it. Research has also shown that those who live far from the equator might be more likely to get MS, which could attribute to the condition being partially caused by environmental factors such as low exposure to Vitamin D in sunlight.

A separate disease, called Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency, or CCSVI, is theorized to be linked as one of many possible multiple sclerosis causes. Those with CCSVI do not necessarily have Multiple Sclerosis, however. The condition is characterized by problematic veins leading back from the central nervous system to the heart, which causes difficulties in blood flow. While a surgery to essentially “stretch” the veins has been developed, and though it is rarely performed outside of medical trials. Many medical professionals argue that the surgery is too risky and might do more harm than good, though more evidence to support it might soon become available.

How Our Blindspots May Be Creating Diseases For Us

What are psychological blindspots? They are parts of us on the mental and emotional levels that we are not able to see or we are not aware. Simply because we are too close to the subject matter, and that’s us.

So for example, we have a habit of saying some things, or we have a habit of doing some things and we are not aware of them because we do them so unconsciously. And we can only see them if someone else points them out to us. We need someone else, standing outside of us to tell us exactly what our blind spots are.

If you had a cake and the cream landed on your nose and you are not able to see it, there is no way you can see that yourself unless you are standing in front of a mirror. So people around you act as mirrors. They tell you what’s on your face.

The thing is, we have no problem having people tell us what’s on our faces because we don’t want to appear silly with cream on our noses so we don’t mind when people tell us this. BUT, we have a big issue when someone tells us about our mental or emotional blind spots. We get all worked up and are like: ‘who are you to tell me this is how I am or this is how I behave’ and so on.

On the route of personal development, we need to be a little bit more open to people telling us what our blind spots. Here’s a suggestion:

You could have a friend you trust to do this thing with you. Create a buddy system where you meet each other once a week or once a month to do this exchange where you share with each other, what you think are their blind spots. Now the trick with this is not to take anything personally because by giving permission to someone to tell you your blindspots, they are doing you a favour so do not attack them in return! Talk about the blind spots in a very factual way without attacking and without blaming, simply addressing them by saying something like: ‘you know when this happens you say that and I believe this is a blind spot so you decide if this is something that you want to be more aware of or if this is something you want to work on. The decision is yours, I’m not here to teach you, I’m not here to blame you I am just here to share’.

An example of a blind spot I want to share is my own experience. You know how you get into spiritual beliefs and spiritual teachings that tell us that everything we say has to be positive. So my thing at the time was that I had to say ‘yes’ because yes is a positive statement. So in my mind, I thought saying yes would be a good thing. However, I kept saying yes to the wrong thing! That was a teaching spiritual belief gone wrong. It taught me the wrong thing, it taught me to not say no to the right thing. What happened was, I kept saying yes to the wrong things and eventually I was burdened with too much to do, too much on my plate not knowing how to say no! What a blind spot!

What do these psychological blindspots do to our psychic bodies?

What are psychic bodies? Our psychic bodies are basically our energy body. Our energy body holds our emotions and our thoughts. When we have blindspots guess what happens? There is a very high chance, if we are not taking care of the blind spots, they become like stubborn stains.

You know the stains we have in our bathroom, or on our clothes, over a period of time the stain is going to change colour, and it is going to look worse and maybe bacteria or mould will build up around it? The same thing happens to the stains in our psychic bodies.

If we allow personal development and consciousness work to take a back seat and we lack awareness of our blind spots, over a period of time there is an accumulation of these mouldy energies. And the interesting thing is that, according to the law of attraction, if you have a build up of pride or anger in your psychic bodies what is going to happen is that it is going to attract even more anger, more energies of pride and over a period of time, you get a psychic tumour.

A psychic tumour is like a physical tumour, it becomes cancerous on the emotional and mental levels. These tumours get lodged within the chakras and the energy body. They also find their places within the energetic level of the liver, stomach, the reproductive system (this is one of the most popular places where tumours find their home). Psychic tumours also create holes in the aura, thereby allowing even more of these energies to enter into our system!

I am not being a fear monger here, but I am just bringing this to your attention because whether we are aware of them or not, they do exist. Sadness, anger, jealousy, they exist, you have experienced them, so where do they reside? Not your physical body, but definitely your emotional/psychic bodies.

You know to take a shower or bath when you are not clean physically, it is important to be able to do the same on the psychic level. Clear them through meditation. I like to offer you this free clearing meditation, it is available on my Fb group (under the announcement tab):

Most of my clients are using them because it helps to keep their energy bodies clear. You do not have to be religious or spiritual in any way to use the meditation even though there will be names that will be mentioned in the meditation that may sound kind of spiritual. If you don’t mind that and you just want something to help you like in a visualisation exercise to help you cleanse your psychic bodies, do download it for your personal usage.

Til next time, have a blessed day!
